It is that time of the year when furry little animals are looking for a place to nest for the winter. They seem to find automobiles as a good option to build a nest and store food for the winter. The cars engine compartment is where you will usually find the nest. If you have pet food stored in the garage these homesteaders will pack the pet food into the nest. They will also drag nuts in from outside that have fallen off trees. The down side to these homesteaders is they will chew on the insulation on your electrical wiring and cause all sorts of problems. They will also use the sound deadening insulation in the engine compartment as part of the building supplies to build the nest. We find quit a few nest in the air filter box. Needless to say the nest are most likely hidden!
