Check Engine LightToday’s cars are high-tech, using advanced technological devices and electrical systems. Identifying the problem requires testing with instruments, knowledge and experience. Our automotive technicians are skilled specialist in this automobile technology. The vehicles on board computer is the portal to accessing the information that turned on the warning indicator, on the instrument cluster. The computer compiles information from various sensors. It evaluates parameters from these systems and when it determines that a correction is needed, it will illuminate the warning light. An example would be the check engine warning light. This warning light usually resembles an engine and is amber in color. Our certified technician will connect our diagnostic computer to the access connector on the vehicle and interface the stored data. The data will appear as a code, example (P0420) this code identifies the system that has a problem. At that point the technician has a starting point to do the necessary testing required to find the component that failed.
