Our story started with a young boy that had dreams and visions for his future. I can speak for this young boy because I am that person today. As a boy, I played Army and dreamed about space ships. Coming from a substantial middle-class family raised as a Catholic, taught steady work habits, and morals. A polite young man, shy and naive of the world, I took a big step out of high school and volunteered the draft when I turned eighteen. The Viet Nam war was coming to an end, and the Army was full of draftees. The majority had no desire to be present. The minority were given a choice to serve or go to Prison. With my expectations shattered, I left the Military after serving six years. I jokingly say that I have a Master's Degree in discipline from the school of hard knocks.
My vision of the future changed while I was serving, I started to see this auto repair shop and how it would be set up. I liked cars and enjoyed working on them, and I was quite good at it. However, after being discharged, I worked as a Prison Guard for a few years. In 1982 Honda opened an automobile manufacturing plant, and I started building cars. I learned even more about cars from the stamping process to the final product. I was getting closer to my dream and gaining valuable knowledge at the same time. I took advantage of all the overtime Honda offered and applied the extra money to build my dream auto repair shop. After eight years with Honda, the entrepreneur in me decided it's now or never.
I stepped out of the box and opened the garage doors and started working on customer's cars. I decided to expand my ability and enrolled at the local Community College and studied automotive technologies. As I completed the courses, I tested with the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and received the certifications at the end of my study, the title of Master Technician. I enhanced my ability to work on cars, but lacked in business management. I started taking classes in business management and marketing. All said and done the knowledge and experience made it comfortable managing the business.
To sum it up, my business has grown to five employees that work as a team, with one goal in mind, and that is customer satisfaction. One would expect that Corporate-owned brand name stores and Dealerships are a secure way to go, and I understand why you would feel that way. There are many choices when it comes to automotive service. What is your priority when making that decision? Is it trust, a relationship, supporting the community, or the lowest price. My goal is to provide my clients with confidence in and a reliance on good qualities, especially fairness, truth, honor, and ability. All of which is part of who I am and passed on to you through my services. As an expert in this field, I can assure you that finding a perfect match for you is out there.
